Hi my name is Jason
Smith, but everyone
calls me Smitty. I
am 29 years old and
I am a Damage
Controlman in the
Coast Guard. I bought
a Gallatin a couple
of months ago and
I just wanted to let
you know that I love
it. I am stationed on
the USCGC Dallas, a
378ft cutter home
ported in Charleston
SC, but here is the
funny thing...our
sister ship is the
USCGC Gallatin and she
moors up right next to
us. I thought it was a
neat coincidence that
I bought a mando with
the same name as a
coast guard cutter.
I have played the guitar
for a while, but when I
heard my Gallatin for
the first time I fell
in love with it, just
had to get it, and have
been playing it ever
since! My favorite song
to play right now is
"Billy In The Lowground".
I play with friends of
mine on the boat whenever
we can get our schedules
to synch up. Anyway,
here's a pic of me playing.
Maybe you could put it in
the players section. Thanks
a lot for the great
instrument. It is very well
and beautifully constructed
and sounds amazing!
I look forward to many
years of enjoyment from
it! I would recommend
WEBER mandolins to
anyone! Once again,
thanks. Smitty
